March 3 ultralight jigging

Went ultralight jigging in a 58 degree Central Jersey pond this evening on a warm, sunny day with a west wind small craft advisory. Cut a trail through the woods to the other side of the pond. Lots of small fish 🐠 were swirling. Caught and released a largemouth bass and black crappie with a small twister tail jig on 2 lb test line. Saw fish 🐟 chase my lure without getting hooked. Two beavers 🦫 arrived late in the day. Got algae on my lure on nearly every cast. Took lots of pictures. Saw many fishermen on the Trenton Marine Terminal at night. Canada geese were flying.
