Default Fishing Tampa FL from shore

Fortunately work is sending me to a costal region for a week, I’ll be in Tampa the first week of April. I have just about all bases covered tackle wise, but no clue on where to fish. Post work and any business dinners I plan on fishing every night. Any general pointers or locations would be greatly appreciated.

Best,
WF

Fish the longer pier if hitting the skyway. More rocks piles and real estate. Check out Google satellite images and you'll be able to see the shadows of the rocks piles.

When I go, I bring my tuna popping rod and an 8000 sized reel spooled with #65 braid and spools of #80 fluoro. 8 ft to a 7 or 8/0 3x or 4x wide gap hook or circle.

Launch pinfish and free line with a little tension and stay sharp. Gags will come outta the rocks, hammer the pinfish and head back towards the reefs. It's warfare fishing at its finest.

Sabikis tipped w shrimp or squid pieces along the pilings and you'll load up on pinfish in no time
