Cool, I'm goin back to barbed hooks, lol. JK, but I did read an article recently about catchin breeders during spawn, specifically musky.
It stated that even with optimal c&r practices it's very unlikely that the caught fish will produce mature eggs. Anyway, there's no musky breeding goin on in Nj besides the hatchery so, go get em!!! Not sure how much that applies to other species but may be something to consider when targeting bass on beds, etc........

I've been saying this all my life. Pretty sure other mammals don't feel pain like we do either. Ever watch deer run through an acre of sticker bushes? Enough said...
