Default Adding on/replacing braid

I lost about 100 yds of 65 lb braid from my tile reel. Wondering if I should splice it or strip and start over. If splicing, what knot would be best?

I would do a splice with a uni to uni knot. I've similar situations and spliced with out any problems what so ever. I've had my splices with the uni to uni knot hold up for a couple years with like diameter braid as yours.

You could reverse the line and put the splice and added line against the spool.

Great suggestion. Will probably never get to see the splice with this suggestions. Uni to uni is probably the easiest and fastest. Very reliable but not the lowest profile.

Uni to Uni has been my go to knot but as Alex mentioned it has a fairly large profile and will sometimes stick in the guides. I've been using the Alberto knot. Very esay to tie and it seems to go through the rod eyes better.

Jeff this has been my goto top shot knot and it works well. Although I haven't tried it for pp to pp.
