Default Jigging this Weekend

Got out on Sunday for a few hours and had a steady pick of perch, crappies and bluegills in 10 fow. Lots of fun on an UL ice rod.

To those who like to jig.. What's your favorite jigging set up? I prefer to use a tungsten and wax worm but I'm thinking of trying something a little bigger to help weed through the dinks...

Anyways, some of the better fish from the day...

Nice mixed bag buddy!!! All beautiful specimens!

As for jigs, holy moly there’s a ton that work! Tungsten and Marmooska jigs tipped with something. Original Rapala, smaller size tipped with a fathead, Swedish pimples, Kastmasters, forage minnows, Pk spoons, Pheobes and many more are in my arsenal and I use em all!

if you have dinks, i'd say move a bit or just wait them out. i can't think of too many times up sizing worked through the ice for panfish jigging. If you really think you're in a big fish spot but are only getting dinks, try a few different jigs and never underestimate the power of...doing absolutely nothing and hold the jig as still as possible or even put the rod down for 10 seconds or more. and btw mousies > spikes and waxies all day every day
