Default Is 30lb mono line ok for blackfishing?

Hi guys,

I want to start using mono again, but is the 30lb line good enough? I got ande mono.

Been using Ande 30lb for more years than I care to remember, no leader no nothing just hook and lead. I'm sure you'll get 20 different opinions, just check for dings every time up...

Depends on where you're fishing. In more forgiving bottom 30 is fine, but in very rocky areas(like the Shrewsberry Rocks) or a wreck I'd go 50+. I have a straight #30 lb mono set up for shallow water fishing and one with #50 braid for everything else.
