Default Recent trip with Tuna.com

Enjoyed a great day of fishing, an even better day of learning from one of the best.... Took my father and my son up to Gloucester, to fish with Capt. Dave on the .com

Had a skinny fish, should have been rounder and heavier, but its my biggest still. Dressed out at 405#.....

Was a nice break from the action. Dave is incredible with these fish. I learned things that I KNOW will work here in NJ. He fished Jersey prior to moving up there, I got some good info from him. Cant wait to put it to use now!!

That fish was packed and being sent to the market before we even pulled away. lol. I dont think it will bring much at all, but it will be something that I can put towards the cost of the trip up there. They keep any fish over 73", your entitled to a share of the fish, but you have to wait for it to be sold. The TV show is an estimate, they dont know what they get until it sells.

No steaks...... just a rotten tail hanging.

Awsome Tom. We are fishing with Dave and Sandro next week. Hope we are as fortunate as you and get to battle one of those beasts.

Going to trade Dave some Pork Roll for Tuna Steaks

You should do well. Was not feeling too good prior to the trip, but it still turned out to be a great time. ( of course I would get sick the week of, after being booked for a year! What was I thinking?? I know better ).

I think you guys will do better than we did! Hes on them, he knows his stuff, and the later it gets, the bigger the fish are. Good luck Gerry!!! We booked knowing it was a bit early, but the fish showed up on time and we were about 4 days after the 1st bite. The pork roll will work...... you cant take the Jersey outta Dave, even with that dumb ass "Red Sox " hat he wears!

3am and the fish will move, but if they are in the same general area, down there by P-Town, its about a 25-28 mile run south, to fish about 3 miles off. lol. They were down near the ledge, the RI boats only travel about 3-4 miles.

Once your up there, you will see what I mean. I just wish I could redo the trip, I was in some pain, but still enjoyed it. I am sending a PM to ya.
