9/12/21 Greenwood Lake Public Launches UPDATE

HEY EVERYONE,

Hope you are all healthy/covid/delta free. We are now up to 1882 signatures on our online petition for Public Boat Launches on Greenwood Lake. We need 118 to hit 2000. Can we do it?????

As stated in the last update Brown's Point has reverted back into the hands of the state. The Fish and Game Council voted unanimously in favor for a Public Boat Launch on the lake.

It is extremely important that we keep this issue in the forefront and not let it fall by the wayside. YOUR INPUT/OPINION/SUPPORT IS NEEDED to let policy makers be aware that this is essential so that the entire PUBLIC can have access to/enjoy the lake without having to worry about chained launch ramps and exhorbitant prices just to launch. Recently returned from Otisco Lake on a Tiger Musky expedition for 5 days. The entire 5 days cost me $50/10/day to launch.

Please if you haven't done so.....sign the petition (saved at the top of this feed) to allow this public lake stocked by your license fees public access.

REMINDER: this Tuesday, September 14 is the next Fish and Game Council Meeting at 10 am. Log in and participate using "GoToMeeting" link found on Fish and Game Council's Meeting Times on the NJ Fish and Wildlife Website.

Please push for and agree with plans for a public launch ramp during the public comment of the meeting. It is vitally important to have a united front as the move towards a public ramp becomes reality. You are all stakeholders whether you fish Greenwood or not. Doesn't matter how far you live. You bought a license right? That gives you the right to have easy access to this public waterbody.

If you can, please consider attending this meeting.....please consider commenting.....this is the only way to keep this on the front burner and make these launches become a reality.
