Caught 5 catfish in 42 degree water
Went fishing 🎣 in 42 degree muddy, flooded Carnegie Lake this afternoon on a cold🥶, sunny day with a sou’wester small craft advisory. There was current in the lake from the release of flood waters. Saw two other fishermen catch and keep a white catfish with worms 🪱. I landed a channel catfish and 4 white catfish with garlic nightcrawlers on 4 lb test line. Didn’t get a hit on a jig or corn bait.

Re: Caught 5 catfish in 42 degree water
I was thinking the same thing, last year in winter you were posting results daily. Glad to hear/read you’re still reeling em in.

Re: Caught 5 catfish in 42 degree water
Last winter I caught a lot of fish on red worms but didn’t use them for bait yet this month. Only caught a few fish on garlic nightcrawlers this month and nothing on jigs and corn.
