Question Dying your squid to glow green?

I saw a guy who had dyed his squid baits fluorescent green, chartreuse color...Any clue how to do that? What could he have used to soak in to the squid? And they held their color awhile.

Google "dying plastic".

These were real squid, not plastic. He had squid cut into long strips soaking in a ziploc bag full of his green concoction.

green food coloring. used full strength . when its rinsed off it looks a lighter glowing green.

works good, just remember to rinse it and salt it after words or you will have a mess on the boat

I've seen concentrated powdered dyes used for this, typically red, sometimes light inside but the biggest thing I've noticed is the proper rig with a stinger and egg in the tail section sewn in to keep it presented right, one time in the dying process the bucket and dye spilt over on the nice white deck, I hit the washdown and ran,,, I didn't do it!!

Steelhead type dye will work & theres an item geared to bass market called Spike It , this work well on feathers & plastic ! Watch where u spray can get messy, not sure if it will work on natural bait. Food dye as mentioned easy to obtain & does the job, no glow versions
