Default 5/30 Spruce Hybrids

Fished Spruce Run yesterday. Hybrids were going pretty good and the herring are def. spawning. Fish were right were we thought they were and we had a triple on within 20 mins of fishing. Amazingly we landed all three even with 6 rods out. Lots of untangling and fighting two at once and man do these things go crazy lol. For Spruce these were all bigger fish 1-25" 6lber could have weighed more but the scales broken. The other two were in the 23"-24" 5lber range. All fish on herring but top water would have been clutch as well (left the casting rods at home). All fish were shallow 5-6ft. Missed 2 or 3 good run offs and my buddy got sawed off on what we think was a monster pike that was making long slow drag peeling runs that would take off every time we got it close to the boat. Also caught 2 smallies..biggest about 3lbs. Go fishing before its too HOT!!

Nice job on the wipers man. I only fished SR once last summer and didnt like the place. Water was down 15 feet and thermocline was 9 feet down. Made fishing very tuff especially only being able to go 5 mph w my kicker. I see alot of guys do well and the proof is in the pics! gotta love the wipers
