I am the guy taking the pic lol. Im always driving the boat and rushing to get the fish back in, although we probably should have kept that bow. What more specifics would ya like?

It's occurs in nature, it's not just a hatchery only disease. Rainbows from Peaquest Hatchery or more resistant to it, but not immune! That fish looks like a Musky Hatchey rainbow based on the coloration! Vern runs a great operation at the Musky hatchery, his fish leave his hatchery in perfect health!

NJ Fish and Wildlife needs the actual fish for tissue testing in the lab. It's hard to tell by the picture, but looks like there is actually two wounds there. Could be damage from a bird.
