Default Winter Flounder

We gave it a shot yesterday with no luck on the fatties. Wind was more than we thought also. It was nice to get out and get the juices flowing. Has anyone been catching them?

Haven’t targeted them specifically but bloods have been bitten short for weeks now on 8/0 circles I’m dunking for bass.

Put out a rod with small J hooks and old school corn beads and bloods. Nothing. Go figure. I was convinced the short bites were flounder. Now thinking it’s just periwinkles picking away at the baits while they are soaking.

Go down to 4/0 for the bass. Eagle claw makes a nice bait holder circle hook. Been able to land bass to 31" on those hooks. But also works great on the 18 - 24" bass that make up most of what we are catching right now
