Wow, you did really well.

I don't know where you were in Union County - but I know for sure you weren't at Seeley's Pond. Seeley's Pond absolutely SUCKED this year.

In a normal year, everybody there catches some fish and a few people will limit out. I put up with the crowds because we all caught fish.

This year, most people caught NOTHING! NADA! About every third person caught between 1-3 fish. Of the eight people sitting on the 'wall'. We caught five fish by 9:45 when I walked away to look at some other spots. Normally we would have caught twenty to thirty fish.

Where the hell did the trout go? Were there fewer trout? Did they all decide to not eat? Did they all get poached out before opening day?

Fish & Game knows about the poor return because I saw the guy there surveying anglers on their catches.

Pretty much the same thing nothing caught at most places I checked on the D&R Feeder Canal this morning. The guy next to me this morning caught nine in the first 10 minutes and I caught three. One was to small so I released it. But we were the exception as I didn't see anyone else catch anything until later in the morning when other people started invading our side of the bridge. All browns too, I thought they were stocking rainbows? Heading back down there now to see if they are bitting again.

No I was at the Raritan at the meet and greet. I drive by the pond twice a day, and there were guys finishing there almost every day.
