SEPT 9 Triathlon on Sandy Hook

FYI-there may be some access issues on Sept 9 if you want to get out to Sandy Hook.


The Danskin Women’s Triathlon will take place
SUNDAY, September 9, 2012

It is important that you are aware that an alternate traffic route will
take place at Sandy Hook on Sunday, September 9, 2012. The Hartshorne south
bound road will be closed off to visitors, residents, spectators,
cooperators, etc., effective 5:00AM on SUNDAY, September 9th; please look
out for the alternate traffic route.

The race starts promptly at 7:00 AM and is expected to finish around 11:00
AM. If you are a resident or a cooperator and need to enter or exit Sandy
Hook, you should do this before 7:00 AM or after 11:00 AM...Otherwise,
expect some traffic delays and plan ahead.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 8th, 2012
NPS and Danskin staff will begin to cone off roads at 9:00 PM, for your
information ONLY

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 9th, 2012
NPS and Danskin staff begins to arrive and set-up at 3:00 AM - 4:00 AM
Participants begin to arrive at 5:00 AM
Spectators begin to arrive at 5:00 AM and directed to park at Parking
Lot E
Shuttle buses will shuttle spectators from Lot E to the race area
between 5:00 AM - 12:00 PM
