Default Re: Swordfish hook question

Strobes never used myself however standard light sticks have accounted for all my big swords shallow n deep . Most over 300# taken on the moon all on fresh rigged baits ! The only change I ever made was to double or triple lights when deep ! On the moon float lights on shallow lines on the surface above baits .
I’ve never deep dropped for swords , that method was not used very much 30 + seasons ago .
Make sure if rigging dead baits use hooks large enough to have plenty of bite after rigging !
I’ve taken 15 personally up to 500 #’s some just caught by accident on floated slick bait meant for tuna .
They are tough n fluff you never know which one is gonna kick your A !
