Catfishing at Spruce run.
Anything this year? I am off on Saturday, the weather looks terrible. Should I even bother going? Also, any catfish at Monskville?

Re: Catfishing at Spruce run.
there are alot of cats in spruce, we've caught many while trolling herring that are up high in the water column and feeding in deep water. I see guys mainly fishing from the launch at night on the bottom and doing well, IDK how the daytime bite would be. Maybe do a late nite on friday and fish a few lines on bottom w some chix livers and switch it up w some dead shiners or even hotdogs, and chum them in with some catfood right when you get there. Use your day off to sleep in on saturday lol

.
I checked the weather for Saturday. Not too awful for early April. https://weather.com/weather/weekend/l/USNJ0096:1:US The catfish may or may not be biting. .

Re: Catfishing at Spruce run.
I will head out there at night occasionally, usually do OK along the shore near the ramp. It died off for me last year as the water dropped real low. I haven't tried for them yet this year.
