Will be flying and want to get a telescopic fishing rod to fish the beach that I can put in luggage. Any suggestions?

Better to get a 3 piece than a telescoping one.

St Croix makes a 4 piece rod that's good. Triumph model, fits right in suitcase. It cost about $100+/-.

The last thing you want to do is get a cheap telescoping rod. A multipiece rod is a much better choice. You can get 3 or 4 piece rods for anything from inshore/freshwater species to big game.

Best of Luck.
