Have gone there a few times and have had some luck with chatreuse spinnerbaits in the middle and texas rigged watermelon candy yum worms 5"
lucky you can get out there because the water is so low around the floating docks

Have not fished there in about 6 years but I used to do great tossing a grape 4inch french fry worm and a baby 1 minus crankbait. I wanted to try the lake again but the low water prevents me from getting my boat in there. I can't wait until they dredge the place.

I'm local to Shadow lake and I'm planning on going tomorrow morning (8-4). I was wondering if you have been there lately and how the fishing has been? I'll be out on my kayak so getting won't be a problem..
Do you or anyone else know when they're suppose to if not already start dredging the lake?

As with anything involving politics, it will be awhile before any work begins. Google Shadow Lake Dredging for more info.

Small boat fishermen have this lake all to themselves. Just have to push pole a hundred yards or so from the boat launching area. It's loaded with fish, nice sized ones too. I've always done well with shallow running cranks and sluggo type lures here.

My buddy and I have fished it twice this year, once two weeks ago and about1.5 months ago. It was a great day 2 months ago. However, we went 2 weeks ago, and not only is it very weed choked, but it was a very brown murky color which was surprising because it hadn't rained for a couple days.

We didn't get a thing two weeks ago and the only hits we had we a splash up around a frog on mats, and my buddy had 2 hits on a orange/black bug. That was about it. Definately a good spring spot.
