This AM:

Snow covered thin ice over in the main boat ramp cove & the same from the far side eastern shore. Open water in the middle.

Expecting the warmer temps & NW winds today to break it up.

Planning on wade fishing the far side tomorrow.

Mark, Thank you for the update, I was wondering how is was making out with the ice in the last couple days. Will be back there this Sunday. GOOD LUCK.

Yesterday, far shore was filled with floating ice. Found only a small area where
I could wade knee deep in what seemed like floating shards of plate glass (sounded like wind chimes) & cast to open water. No Luck. Surprised a red fox on the trail, & saw 3 Pileated Woodpeckers.

This morning @ 7:45, in the parking lot, 3 boats hitched to vehicles.

Two of them pulled out behind me on to the road,.....as main boat ramp was still iced in.

Expected to see ice fishing on the pond, but nice lakers!
