Default Where do they Stock Muscentetcong in Fall

Yesterday we fished the Trout Conservation Area all afternoon with midges and other stuff without a nibble. A couple guys said they caught a few Euronymphing -- I think wild fish. I don't have a Euronymph rig. Most guys didn't seem to be catching anything. Obviously it was really low but I'd like to know a spot with a better shot at some eager fish. Probably try Flat Brook later next week.

The musky has a lot of easy access and stocking points ....just drive the river and fish any of the multiple pull offs....good luck

There’s a lot of fish in the water right now. They stocked the Pequest this week and with the water being so low and clear you can see the fish swimming around but the majority of people I’ve seen fishing are complaining saying they didn’t stock in the normal spots. That’s not the case you just have to figure out what they want otherwise they pretty much have lockjaw. I’ve been out twice this week and caught and released 26 fish so they are there.

another thing to point out is that the stockings are still fresh and recent, after time, or the next increase in river flows, fish will be spread out more.

Unfortunately all streams are like this right now.

Looks like most of the main rivers were stocked last week. Hopefully this rain today and tomorrow will help the flows and spread em out a bit.

Stocking points toward Delaware River on Muskie all had some fish.

As always with fall stockings fish is more interested in doing fish business rather than anything else.

Didnt hook much but found some agrressive enough to go for pink and yellow rooster tails.

Yeah I tried the Pequest too. Saw the fish swimming around. They wouldn't take a midge or an emerger.
