Default Tog jigging rod and reel info

Been reading some of the older posts on this site about TOG Jigging, mainly looking for some updated info on selecting a Tog Jigging outfit. Spinning Outfit. Been hearing a lot about the BlackHole 701L Challenger Bank. Been difficult to find the factory rod and blank, seems to always be out of stock. Guess I know why. I know there are plenty of options. seeking opinions on what you guys are using?

Been considering a Shimano Trevela S series, uncertain if the ML, M, or MH model would be best?

Also seeking opinions on light spinning reels.
Shimano Stradic FK? Stradic Ci4? Daiwa Ballistic LT? Penn Conflict 2?

and for braid- just curious what is the common LB test most of you are using?

Thank you
RM

Check out the Fenwick elite tech inshore spinning rods .

I'm fishing the 7' MH

I'm also liking fishing a Revo beast 40 baitcaster on a Penn battalion 12/20.
.
Both set ups handle big Black fish well

As far as spinning reels I'd say Daiwa Ballistic LT 2500, I have the Stradic CI4 and had some issues with it and the anti reverse mechanism and so have a few others I know..

Don't think you want the Trevela s. That rod is only 6 foot 2 or 3 and is usually used for Butterfly jigging applications... I'd be looking at something light weight in a 7 foot rod... Check out the Blackhole 731M or if you prefer lighter the 701L

As far as line 30 braid is what I use for jigging...

I really like my Jigging World Black Demon if you end up considering a conventional setup. I have it paired with an Avet SX 5.3.

The ballistic LT is so light and compact you can easily go up to the 4000. Loaded it with 30 lb braid and you can use for both tog and stripers. They're great reels!

I'm slowly converting from shimano spinning reels to daiwa.
