Default NY stuff

Beginning of May I headed up to NY to join Nick on various mugging expeditions, first day I got my first cisco, or lake whitefish, whichever species this is. Caught 2 more and they were pretty cool nonetheless. good fighters for the size!? Nick proceeded to mop the boat with slob pickerels and some chunky SMBs.

Next day the three amigos headed out for lake trout jigging at the finger lakes. This was lights out fishing, I caught 36 myself, 86 landed in the boat in total. a few triples and multiple doubles.
The best day of fishing I've ever had in terms of rod bending.

Final day we originally had a guide for trolling walleye, but with a lack of walleye the previous day the guide suggested browns; we caught about 20+ trolling, hooked 2 kings landed 1, and both of us got cool atlantic salmon.
We kept our limit of brown trout pretty quickly and it was good eats, they were cooked in a variety of ways

This Saturday the rain was relentless and even the wild trout streams i wanted to fish had flooded. I managed to get a fat hybrid however casting from shore as plan B.

I've been getting out here and there but things have been extra busy for me lately, so when I heard the boys were hitting the Finger Lakes and I was free I knew I had to make moves. Made the 4 hour drive North, leaving my place at 2:30 am, and got to the boat ramp early.

Hands down one of the most fun days the amigos have had on the water. Tons of laughs, tons of fish, tons of snacks.

Fish were short striking me and I still caught 19, my biggest being a 31 inch slob, shattering my PB. I live for trips like these!

Brandon impressed everyone, 3am departure time and made it well before the guide that morning. Just for a 1 day trip and back home he went

Idk why he ditched you that day, must have been because he knew the fishing sucked or something ! LOL

@eddit
Next adventure is a return to the Adirondacks in June.
You will guess correctly i aint hitting the ocean anytime soon. Although i faired well on ontario
