The lighter the line the less weight you will need to hold bottom

I use 15lb and will hold with 4oz when my buddy fishing 40 or 50lb needs 8oz

I also use no terminal tackle all line to line knots

3' 30lb fluro leader

So far I'm been catching fluke pretty good with following two setups.

20lb braid --> knot --> 3ft 30lb fluoro--> bucktail

--> 2-3ft 30lb fluoro --> two baited hooks 1inch apart
20lb braid --> 3way swivel
--> 1ft 10-20 lb mono to sinker

Last year I got more fluke on red hooks. Will try them again this year.

15-20lb braid then an albright or uni knot to 4 foot of 20lb flouro. bigger bucktail on the bottom 1/4-2oz, any color will work as long as its white,glow, or chartreuse. have fun catching flat trash!

I dont use any swivels or anything like that.. all line to line connections.. Tie my buck tail rig with a little extra line on it then attach to my braid via albright knot..

No swivels here....braid to leader only. Shallow and not so sticky 20lb leader. If Im headed to Shrewsbury or really sticky stuff...40 or 50 leader. I use the Albright and double it back towards the leader with equal number of wraps. Havent lost one of those knots since I learned that one.
