Winter blues! Dreaming of halibut!

snow again today in ne., 41 inches so far. winds constant 20 to 25. checked the logs from last season. reappearance of halibut, first time in 10 years. fish caught, not regularly but a definite shot. may, june and july on the broken bottom. top fish 85 pds., lost bigger ones. whole rigged herring and salmon heads seemed most productive. catch all other species, one rig dead stick in the corner for a halibut bite. all customers get a slice. best, capt. jim
