Default Obtaining a Captain's License

I've been thinking of getting my captain'so license. I do not plan to do charters or anything like that. Just something I've wanted to do.

Any suggestions? Where did you go to take the class? Would you recommend them? Thanks in advance.

I used Sea School. Instructor was excellent and I learned a lot. If I remember correctly 3, consecutive weekends all day Saturday and Sunday and then the test the Saturday after.

I did Internet.

First Houston Marine for my OUPV/ Towing endorsement

Then Mariners Learning Center ( advertised here) for Masters upgrade

If you have discipline you'll do fine.

I actually offering tutoring to those who have problems with the course/internet stuff.

Feel free to call or email me if you have any questions?

yeah Houston is still in the biz. Did that course in 1989 with 3.5 inch floppy disks. No internet yet.. just "1-900" dial in sex lines. LOL

Then took exam at USCG down Battery and watched NYC/SI ferries dock all day.
