MUSHIN TUNA & CANYON 2019 Season!

While we are not done fishing for 2018, who is ready for TUNA and CANYON FISHING in 2019? We are!

We have made plans to start TUNA & CANYON fishing out of CAPE MAY beginning on June 1 through July 30, then coming back to POINT PLEASANT BEACH for August through October.

With the FALL 2018 canyon tuna season being another very disappointing FALL season in recent years, we will again push our new and long-time clients to join us in JUNE and JULY to LOAD UP on TUNA, TILEFISH, & MAKO.

So many anglers tell us they want to wait for the Fall Chunk bite...unfortunately, Fall chunking just has not happened with consistency in several consecutive seasons.

But many reputable boats and operations have CONSISTENTLY put together solid TUNA and TILE catches in EARLY SUMMER.

If you are newer to canyon fishing, I tell you this early summer bite is nothing new... I have been doing this for about the last 30 seasons! And others have been doing it even longer! Yes, early summer tuna fishing is mostly trolling...I hear from others that it’s “drag and snag”, and not as “exciting” as chunking and jigging. Well, I get it. But what’s wrong with shorter day trips in the summer sun and temps watching multiple explosions of Yellowfin and Bigeye coming up and blasting lures out of the trolling spread? Hear the sound of our Shimano Tiagra 50s screaming as Mr. Tuna dumps 25 pounds of drag! When we’re done with tuna, we set up on some of the richest TILEFISH grounds in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region to load up on Blueline and Golden Tiles!
Many of these CAPE MAY trips can be done in 18, 22, and 30 hour trips. We will post the OPEN BOAT schedule soon, and always accept full boat charters for groups up to 6 anglers.
