Default Things are waking up!

I went out Saturday for some fishing at some new water near my new house. I first hit a large pond, used for swimming in the summer apparently. I landed one nice largemouth (https://www.flickr.com/photos/147680.../shares/m1x1v1) and lost a bigger one to a horrible snag Definitely going to be trying this place out again soon.

Later in the day I tried a small tributary river that wasn't high like all the main ones in the area. It was very trashed, litter everywhere, I picked up what I could. Really sad that the people in the area don't seem to care at all about a stream like this, because I managed to catch 5 or 6 creek chub all on a trout magnet (https://www.flickr.com/photos/147680.../shares/0C0qgV) There was some really good looking trout water in that creek, but I don't believe they stock it anymore. And with all the pollution, I could see why.

All in all, a great day of fishing. Can't wait to get out again. Tight lines!

I didn't take any pictures, but I definitely will when I go back. It's the Peckman River, specifically the stretch through Cedar Grove Community Park. There isn't a real access point to the stream, and the bank is very steep from the park side, so access is very difficult. But if there are any groups in the area I'd be willing to help out!

Ahh, the local crik. Spent many a day hanging out at the "Hole" and fishing around the peckman. We used to catch some pretty nice size chubs in certain spots but it seemed to only hold chubs.

Then one year a guy paid for a private stocking we didn't know about. We were shocked when we started catching 12-14" browns out of some of our spots!!

Nice Bass!
