Default Motor shopping time

Well after 4 shitty seasons trying to get my Suzuki motors straightened out , decided to stop throwing good money at a bad product .

their customer relations suck, using every excuse in the book to fault the consumers .

im actually surprised anyone wants to be a dealer for them .

as the 2 dealers I used fought hard for the consumer to get better results , but their hands are tied .

will be looking at Yamaha 300’s as well as the newer 8 cylinder Mercury 300’s today .

time to make this boat reliable , and start getting full fishing seasons of use out of her .

.will be nice to have motors under warranty again also.

.

Gateway marina. Hands down. Or...order them and get Steve at SOS to put them on for you. Either way you cannot go wrong.

Suck Dan.... Best of luck motor shopping and I've heard a lot of people complaining at the Suzuki's, seems they've gone downhill?

Don't have any friends with the Mercs so can't comment on them but many with the Yamahas and they love them... I think it was the earlier 300s or 350s that had issues with flywheels but I'd bet you already knew that..

Gateway is tops. They installed my 300 and have provided normal service for years. I have not had any problems with it or them. Great motors.

Got a great price and a very fair trade in at Seaport Marine .
Put Yamaha 300’s on and can’t believe how different the boat is .

Wish I had made this change sooner .
Now if only we could get some nicer weather for the rest of the fall.
