Default Going from Twins to a single outboard

Anybody ever gone from twin 150s to a single 300? Boat is a bit transom heavy and im still in sticker shock over the cost of two 150s installed.

Smile Re: Going from Twins to a single outboard

I bought a 232 Grady gulfstream it had old twin 140s then a single 225 when I bought it. I put on a single Suzuki 300 I get 42 mph decent economy. I do,have a 20 hp,kicker for trolling th Great Lakes. No problems so far. Twins are nice for running offshore but I am rarely more then 15 miles off.

New 4 stroke are reliable.
