Default Loads of perch and a nice walleye

Late Saturday a friend and I decided to give some perch and crappie a shot. Got a late start and didn't start fishing until around 3:30. Overcast and a bit windy but fishing was good. Crappie didn't cooperate but perch fishing was on fire as we lost count during 4 hours of fishing, keeping a dozen or so for the table. Found a good concentration of primarily males holding in slightly shallower water, moved a bit deeper and found non stop action with larger mostly female fish. All were caught on jigs under a float. With all the pan fish in the area, thought maybe there'd be some walleye cruising around at witching hour. Switched over to a swim bait and first cast hooked this beautiful 28.5". Few pictures and she swam off strong. Great way to end the day and start the season.

Nice fish all 'round, and that walleye close to that magic mark. Beautiful fish.
