Default slow day on the big pond

i went out on the big pond today and only managed to get 2 perch. i fished the afternoon till sun down.. i was in 5' to 14' on or near weedlines, i would mark fish but they just did not want to play nice today.. the wind that was with this last storm kept some of the holes in the ice open and even made some of them bigger. the place i was fishing had 5" to 7" of ice. the weather is doing the up and down thing again so those holes may take some time to close. be safe and check as you go.

good to hear it is making ice....

stay away from any boat docks out there.....before the arctic blast any dock with an ice eater had open water 25'+ around it....it will be refrozen but not thick enough....

hopefully the edges aren't shot after Thurs....All the rain will runoff due to the ground being frozen

you got that right squatch those "ice eaters" are definitely a concern when you are on the cong, as for the rain it will get cold after Thursday . the water should not be a problem as far as the ice heaving. the shores might take a beating but should refreeze.. let's hope for the best. this up and down cold weather is something we just have to deal with living in new jersey.
