Shrimpy , when we make plans will let you know, Thinking end of August beginning of September!!! We will fish 4 guys 2/3 days or so

BC

PS also added a 9.9 kicker with power tilt remote throttle and steering !!!!

Hopefully the auto pilot works and we will be a Salmon killing machine. I picked up 5 copper line reels up to 500 feet of copper.

Update, got boat in water Sunday , did the couple hours of low rpm stuff for break in etc. after a while we did some trolling with kicker to get hours on that also. Time for some throttle got up to 3500 Tom and 11 mph and that was it. So,we did the 8 mph tour more trolling did some hour. Tried again still only 3600 rpm. Called this am was told the throttle needs calibrated. I said well duh. 300 hp and 11 mph don't cut it ! So this weekend watch out ! They are going to work on it Wednesday ! Will report back. 😃

If full throttle is only 3500rpm sounds like you are overpitched on the prop. The throttle is a cable. Take off cowl. Move binnacle throttle and watch the reaction at the motor. The O/B mechanism should be full range.

Most O/B's 3500-4000 rpms is the sweet spot for maximum fuel economy per mile traveled. WOT rpm's should be in the high 4000 rpms near 5000 rpm range.

Put O/B in neutral out of gear (usual pull out lever) and advance the throttle quickly. You should see it easily hit 4000rpms. This all should confirm mismatched prop.

Capt- these new motors are all high tech, the throttle is like fly by wire or something. You touch and it goes ! All digital RPMS. Etc
The throttle has to be calibrated or something so I get 6000 /6200 RPMS wide open throttle. 4200 or so should be the sweet spot. I can play with that once I can getter going. Etc. I will keep you posted. The cowl is so big I do not think I can get it off on the water ! Would be almost scared with how much it cost! That is why I like the 6 year warranty.
