I grew up in Haskell (Wanaque Borough) in the sixties and fished the reservoir thanks to a neighbor who was a reservoir guard. I remember the largest smallmouth ever. I also remember when my neighbor became a minor celebrity after a UFO sighting when he was on the nightshift. Be careful if you sneak in, you might encounter ET.

Thanks for the memories. Wanaque was anything but urban then, but Ben Thompson did become legendary in our neighborhood, for a while anyway.
