Paid 10.5K for my 05 FX4 super cab Flareside with 86k on the clock about 3 years ago now, so with pandemic prices and a rebuilt trans you're probably right about on the money.

Have the dreaded 5.4 spark plugs been re-done? Cam Phasers/VCT solenoids? Might entice folks if any of that work has been done

Thanks Joe. All spark plugs have been done (I can provide the mechanics name if need be). To this day I cannot believe Ford did not cover and I had to pay out of pocket! Expensive fix! Never had a problem with Cam/solenoids.

Did them myself and even that wasn't cheap for OEM parts and the remover tool for when (not if) they break. Broke 3-4 out of 8. Was a nightmare and took me one whole Saturday plus a few hours the next as I needed a new cutting screw for the remover tool...Not fun, I understand why they're so expensive to do.

Good luck with the sale. Have you tried Facebook marketplace as well? Lots of yahoos on there, but plenty of normal folks too.
