Ramapo River 5/19
Got up early and met up with a friend at the Mahwah Oakland border. The river was a little high and stained but not too bad. We caught 16 stocker rainbows one smallmouth and one stray brown, all were average size no plus sized fish in the mix like we have been getting. Still a good outing with alot of action. The no seeums were out in force and the little devils were at their best when I was retieing a broken lure. My friend kept two for lunch until a snapping turtle grabbed his stringer and got one, but he replaced it on his next cast.

Re: Ramapo River 5/19
nice brown. those damn snapping turtles are a pain in the ass always eating your fish my friend had a nice stringer of catfish eaten up while he was fishing. he went to put his last fish on the stringer and found that half of them were just heads on the stringer. he was pissed as he was not that far from his stringer and did not know that they were getting chomped on.
