Default Garmin 741xs

I was just installing the garmin on my boat and wondering if I need a fuse between the battery and unit I saw there was one on my other unit and didn't know if it's needed. Hooked it up and worked fine but thought I would ask before I continued thanks for the advice!!

i would , its better to burn a fuse tjen the unit

I would use an inline fuse.
