Default Frozen braid and cold fish

Had some free time yesterday so I bundled up and hit a few spots on the river. Covered some decent ground and still only found 2 fish, was really hitting great pockets and seams so was surprised. I'll definitely take it over a skunk though! 1st fish was a small pike but had a little belly on it. That was it for an hour of hopping around then was able to land a small bass that was pretty feisty for his size. Been using fluoro leaders with the cold temps so my slow & suspending lures aren't sinking as much. Been working well!

That little pike is going to be a monster if it keeps up its eating habits. Nice fish!

good fish on a cold day. looks like we are going to have to hit rivers and lakes for now with no ice around hopefully we get some cold weather to lock things up. this taking my canoe out on the cong with the cold wind is testing my temper a bit.
