Best fighting freshwater fish in all the land! Double headers are fun, but even more chaotic when you have a Hybrid fighting you.

It is on fire actually.....Makes sense, cause I used to fish to huge schools of 2-3 lbers. in the early 2000's......They eat , they grow, we enjoy

Were there actually flames comimg off the water or maybe just "Smoke on the Water", because flames could be really dangerous. We hit it last evening for a hour or so. Didn't see any flames, maybe a little smoke. Picked up a new fire extinguisher just in case. Did end up with 2 and a hit that nearly cut the herring in half, not sure that wasn't a pike, it really riped it up.

Cool Re: Hyyyybrids

Nice job Flatcreek...how big were the two stripes? I have found the stripes in the manasquan to be bigger than the ones in spruce. When we were there there were confirmed 3 foot flames..dont throw out ur new fire extinguisher yet.

Would say they where in the low 20s, don't know about these being bigger, 2 is not enough to say. I've heard the ones in Lake Hopatcong are the best tasting.
