Nice catches. How long do the carp take to land on 2lb? I lost a nice carp inthe Raritan on 6 lb, i upgraded two rods to 10 lb test for my next outting.

Took half an hour to land my biggest carp that I ever caught in the lake at 6.75 lbs a few years ago. 2 lb test is too light for the big snapping turtles in that lake. Landed a 16.5 lber there this year.

I think it hit the bare hook as I was reeling in to rebait. I catch a lot of fish on a #14 gold treble hook with no bait on it in that lake when the water is hot. Caught and released an 18" largemouth bass that way a few years ago.

No, I gave them to a Chinese restaurant. I see multiple fish kills below the dam at that lake every year so I keep and give away the rough fish and panfish that I catch there.
