I have fished it a few times during summer. You can expect largemouth, pickerel, and perch. There are no horsepower restrictions so fishing from a canoe as I did requires you find some spots that are out of the way. The wider eastern end of the lake by the swimming area is pretty weedy and you will find pickerel there, and bass generally come into the skinny western end closer to Piggy's restaurant at dusk. I didn't do too well midday in the hot sun as the fish were probably deeper than where I could reach them.

Was up there last summer on vacation, killed the bass, including a 6+ PB, caught Bass, Walleye, Pickerel. Best to hit early in the day or later in the day after some of the rec boat traffic slows down. pm me for more info

I appreciate the input my fellow njfishers.. I'm heading out there very soon for a vacation and had zero info on the lake. Just wasn't sure if I should bring my boat along? After reading this it's most likely a yes now. Thank's again

There's not a lot of public access to the lake...in fact I'm not sure there's a public launch. Maybe someone who knows of one can help out? Otherwise pm me for an off the record suggestion.

We launched from the little " launch " next to the swimming beach on the south side of the lake. Wasnt anyone there to collect fees, but i think if you stay up there it is free, But you would have to confirm that. But again, no one around to check if we were staying or not, and we launched everyday, twice a day for a week straight. Also, we only launched john boat and canoe, no trailered boats. but there is room for a trailer launch.
