Default Raritan monster hybrid

Made a guest appearance on the Raritan yesterday.. Fishing was slow but did manage a 27"hybrid that I guess is around 10lbs along with a few white perch

Wow, that's incredible. But where did it come from?

Spruce run origin or a natural hybrid?

I don't think we have White Bass in New Jersey for the Stripers to hybridize with, so it's not a natural cross.

I would guess it was expelled from Spruce Run when it was small. When the water company dumps that reservoir, they release it straight into the South Branch of the Raritan.
