Default Super cold moon sunday night

There will be a SUPER COLD MOON on SUNDAY. This is suppose to be the biggest, baddest moonshine of the year.

Will this be a positive or negative impact on the bite? Never been a supporter of moon phase's impact on fishing. Been skunked in all phases of moon & caught monsters when the solunar table says to stay home. Always feel that the best time to go fishing is when you have the time, which seems to be less & less these days.

My log program lets me produce graphs based on my trips. With close to 300 fw trips logged in about two years if i produce a graph for average trip rating vs moon phase it shows very little significance. If i narrow it to certain species or times it becomes more significant...for example summer night fishing usually moon = good

Mind sharing the log book? I understand if you want to keep it personal however.

For me, fishing on a full moon or new moon is usually excellent. My biggest musky this year was on a full moon, and biggest walleye this year was on a new moon. Moon phases always bring out the big fish that usually lurk in the depths, up to feed. I plan my fishing trips and days off work to fall on full/new moon.
The daily lunar events Moonrise, moonset, and the period in between (under food) also influences feeding windows, especially with musky.
But i also noted fishing at night in spring for walleye during a full moon was tough. But bass fishing at night during a full moon is usually great.
In the end, local weather will always trump whatever lunar phase is going on!
Hope this helps
