Default NY Saltwater Reg????

My son just bought a Center Console and we fish Raritan Bay. Do we need the NY Saltwater Reg if we are on the NY side of the Bay or just abide by NY Regs such as size/limit/season ect We have the NJ Salt Reg just wasn't sure if NY was required also. Thanks in Advance.

If you fish the waters of both states you need SAlt water registration in both states. If you are stopped in NY waters your NJ registry won't help you. . .

Yep - and you need to be in compliance with the regs while in each states waters...

You can't be in possession of 18 inch Fluke you caught in NJ while in NY since their regs are 19... Similarly, you can't have 4 keepers each that you caught in NY on the NJ side since our limit is 3.

Best thing to do if you plan to fish NY and NJ is limit yourself to 3 fish @ 19 inches.
