Default Anyone ever used "Real Magic"?

I got a can of this stuff called "Real Magic" as a stocking stuffer fro christmas this year. Apparently you spray this stuff on your line on the spool and it increses casting distance, prevents icing, reduces line memory, etc. Seems like its some kind of line lubricant. Anyone ever use this stuff? Does it actually work or is it more of a "gotcha" product?

Side note, i also got a pair of waders, so expect some trout reports soon! Hope everyone has a happy and healthy new year.

I have been using Real Magic for years, I LOVE the stuff. It's not a gimmick. I spray the spools up before I go out for the day, and sometimes a couple squirts during the day, works really well, and also works great for "COLD" weather fishing, spray line and guides, helps with freezing. I do use reel snot for the winter more often, its a thicker liquid and works better for freezing.

Welcome to the wader club. Get ready to get a leak in em I suggest big trash bags under them, like big stockings, so in case there is a leak, u don't get wet.

I use it.
Works very well.
For me helps with longer casts (cover more water) I just re apply after 25/30 cast as I feel it wears away quickly.
Thanks Rich196 for cold weather use! Maybe I should read the directions .

Thats a good idea! I'm looking forward to testing them out, excited to be able to cover a lot more water

look in 'bait and tackle' section, tons of info on line lube there.

I tested this out this weekend (see my NJ Trout 12/30 report for more on that) and i have to say it impressed me. No tangles all day, my lures were casting noticeably further than normal too. Wasn't quite cold enough to test the de-icing claim, but overall it works great and I'd recommend this stuff for sure. a couple quick sprays at the car before is all i needed.

It is a product that works from and is much more popular down south than it is here.
