Default introducing the "Dirty Shrimp"

well here is the new fishing machine. Spent 3 hours scrubbing the crap out of her today, and she looks like she just came out of the showroom!!!!!!!! I can't believe how clean it came out.

Next steps:
call MM insurance on Monday, I hear Vito is the man for boat insurance.

take the online coarse this week and try to take the test by the weekend.

register the boat and trailer.

Fix the wiring harness on my truck (I have a short somewhere).

I am pushing to have her on the water next weekend.

I can't be happier with the deal my partner (DCM) got on this boat. $5,000 ($2,500 a piece) is a STEAL! all I need is some electronics and we are good to go.

Good Luck!! On the wiring issue, check the ground on the trailer !! I have found 90% of the time that is the problem!!!

Welcome to the "same boat" guys... Me and my bud did this in April ... You'll never not have something to improve on or get done now! Lol - where are you going to go out of mainly, launch wise , or slipping it? How much anchor line do you have- have a box of oh s@€% things-plugs ,all nav bulb spares, fuses, spare filter or have a racor bleeder, one bumper at least ,2 is better-,bleach bottle ,rope and weight(marker buoy)- especially the ff/gps/plotter!!,etc.....
Etc.....
Etc.....
Great luck-any ?'s you know where to ask

nice boat steve! good luck and happy bait drowning (lol) they say the happiest day is when you first purchase a boat , and the second is well , ......mine was when she first got splashed and i was actually able to get her wet for the first time ......like a new gurlfriend treat her right and she'll be with you for awhile...where are you going out of !!! maybe see ya out there !

insurance; i use seaworty berkshire/ hathaway or something like that , from geico , not badly priced !

Gonna probably trailer her and launch mostly out of the raritan bay. I guess I will figure out the best ramp in the bay by trial and error. Do the launch ramps have fresh water to wash her down at the end of the day, or will I be doing this when I get home?

I am really chompin at the bit to get her on the water!

As far as insurance, I got a quotre from state farm. $12,000 on the boat and contents and $300,000 liability, $240.00. Pretty cheap as far as I am concerned, but I like to support the sponsors, so if MM can come close he will get the business.
