A Mild Night at SR
I went out to SR last night because of the almost balmy temperatures. Got to the water around 9:20 and threw some night crawlers out there. Jigman gave me some tips so I ran a slip sinker setup for the first time. Got one big bite that knocked my rod over, but I forgot to tighten my drag ( ) and my reel became one big birds nest. Needless to say I lost the fish. Wasn't able to land anything this trip, but my expectations were low to begin with. The rain really lightened up when I got there and around 10:30ish it stopped all together. All in all, I learned some new tactics and got a few hours to relax. The reservoir was glassy and calm, a very peaceful setting. Tight Lines all!

Re: A Mild Night at SR
A good way to start, at least getting some action. Hope it goes well and the nights stay warm.

Re: A Mild Night at SR
What time did you stay till?
SR usually been good to me come night time with most hook ups occurring after 11pm. Sorry to hear about the drag, I know how it feels like. I believe I still have about 2 rods swimming around there. Andre |

Re: A Mild Night at SR
I was there until 12:30 with just that one bite to show for it! But like I said it was still a relaxing night, much needed.

Vamp jr in training? Look on the bright side you will likely never leave a loose drag again. Bummer. Keep at it man
