Default Possible Relocate Savannah-Brunswick Georgia

Possibility growing of getting transferred to Georgia with option to live between Brunswick and Savannah. I have honed in on Darien and St Simons area so far and wondering if anyone has info on fishing in this area whether it be inshore, offshore, or sounds. I have found a couple marinas that do rack service which is a plus but wondering if I can be a 12 month a year boater down there.

Any info would be appreciated, but really have no desire to live directly in Savannah and want to be no more than 30 minutes from coast.

Oh I will be renting wherever I go until August 2017 when wife and child can come down and then it will be condo purchase.

Have a buddy who lives on Skidaway Island which has a Savannah mailing address but is not in the city. Have seen people fishing the Moon River (yep it is that Moon River) in February. Lots of oyster bars to keep the redfish happy and croakers, blue claw crabs abound.

Bass & trout is what the locals fish for. Channel Bass(red drum) trout(specs)
Others: spot, croaker, black seabass, whiting(southern kingfish) bluefish, flounder(think they were 4 spot, but didn't pay much attention, blacktip Sharks.

Offshore is what you'd expect. I remember seeing a sign in a bait shop that tarpon were running, but I didn't ask, I was fishing the river & sound.

Tons of blue claws.

Tons of shrimp to castnet, and they're way better tasting than anything we can buy here.

As it looks the only fish I will miss catching is Stripers, but Tarpon can be a very good replacement for a C&R guy.
