I imagine most were in boats.

The threat of T-storms is the best time to fish a popular lake or river since it generally scares off the would be boaters, canoeists, kayakers, et al. And post front/storm can produce outstanding fishing. So if your hear the storms, get to your car(safest place to be) , wait it out and fish afterwards. You won't be disappointed. One of the things I learned about post heavy rain, is that its knocks down the surface weeds - either by raising the water level or spreading it out to create openings. More so the light stuff like duckweed or barely emergent crap like millfoil. Pads, spatterdock, water shield, water chestnut remain in place- rain or no rain.

.

This is definitely something to keep in mind this week as these pop-up thunder storms in the afternoon can be quite dangerous.

Being the highest thing out on the water waving around a conductive graphite rod as a thunderstorm is closing in is putting your self in unnecessary danger.
