Default This one is for you, Chris.

Here are a few I found in my computer, most pics are from film era. Last one is from Christmas Day 2015, the one prior was three weeks earlier, #1,2 & 4 were on top and the big one was caught on a homemade 1/8 oz. bucktail jig.

JD Tuna just so you know why I posted the pictures. The 1st 4 are from Ct.
Chris PMed me about trout and I don't think that you can put an attachment in a PM so I posted some pictures here. I related to him why I think bigger trout are so scarce. Being bass anglers trout are a bonus for us and outside of RVR there aren't trophy trout waters around. Since we are C&R the size doesn't matter because they all go back but many anglers can't release a big trout to be caught another day.
I've seen a slot limit work very effectively until the fisherman couldn't stand letting go a brown trout that was shy of 22". Rainbows and tigers were stocked with no limit on size and no browns could be kept except for 1 over 22" and it made for great quality trout fishing in a lake in CT. You wouldn't believe how many 18 to 21" BT because of the 22" minimum. The State stocked a strain of German BT and it wasn't until they got to about 20" that they got thick and broad. I would catch 5 to sometimes 10, 16 to 24" brown in late Nov. to pre hard water in 3 hrs or so and let them all go. People killed it by complaining to the DEP about the size limit. Of course they lowered it to 20" and the meat fishermen loved it because lots of that class of fish were taken home and the number of nice trout went way down in a couple of years. Now the fishermen began complaining about the lack on quality fish. You can't have your cake and eat it too. The quality trout population was further diminished with the destruction of the milfoil and the demise of the alewife population about 8 to ten years ago.
